The client required a multi-zone system spanning two buildings, 3 floors and basement per building. System had to be accessible via the on site telephone public branch exchange (PBX) system by dialing in extensions to access the specific zones. Further to this the phones in each building could not be accessible from the other. Two hard wired microphones in two separate locations were also to be incorporated for the access of the system. A high level of redundancy was also required to make sure that the PA system remained at least 80 % operational during certain equipment and power failures.
